Marcia Bateson has close to three decades of experience in strategic, managerial, and leadership roles for corporations and not-for profit organizations. In 2002, Marcia co-founded Davis Bateson Group, LLC where she has worked with top organizations, including not-for-profits and Fortune 50 financial firms, as a turnaround specialist. She advises on organizational redesign, develop strategy, and financial solutions to major issues and aids with successfully implementing these plans.

Previously, Marcia held leadership positions with J.P. Morgan and its subsidiaries. She served as Chief Financial and Chief Administrative Officer for J.P. Morgan Partners where she overhauled an outdated infrastructure and integrated six acquisitions while keeping the group fully operational throughout the transition. While serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Management Division of JPM, she led and managed the re-engineering of the business and financial infrastructure, which served to increase profit by 2.5X on flat revenue. As the Chief Operating Officer of the Transition Management Team when JPM sold this division to the Bank of New York, she managed the transfer of $1 trillion in securities, 800 clients, and 800 professionals.

As a hands-on builder, Marcia demonstrates an ability to align and integrate disparate groups toward realizing common goals, and she grows businesses whose practices express her belief that the right “1+1” does, indeed, equal 3 or 4. She leads her companies to serve not only her shareholders but also to enrich the citizens of our nation, to sustain the global economy and the planet, and to demonstrate transparency and accountability in corporate governance.

Marcia graduated from Vassar College Phi Beta Kappa. She currently serves on multiple boards including The Regional Plan Association, The Holton-Arms School, The Ceres Presidents Council, and she is active in the Angel Investment community in New York City.
